Property Refurbishment authorisations and restrictions
If you wish to extend a part of your property but are living at British Listed Buildings, you may need to gain the Listed Building Consent for alterations. Unfortunately, listed homes are unauthorised to even be painted with plastic paint or using gypsum plasters, so always check before you wish to start working on the property.
At the same time, a home located in a Conservation Area has another protective status which can affect work to it. Restrictions in Conservation Areas generally affect only the exterior of the property as the intention is to ‘preserve or enhance the character or appearance’ of an area, but your permitted developments rights (works that you can usually do without planning permission) will be affected, meaning you may require planning consent for works that are authorized elsewhere.

Bathroom Installation
Sphinx Refurbishment has bathroom fitters that can create and install bathrooms to very high standards, no matter how basic or luxurious. We are always striving to deliver the best quality of installation. We are going through the entirety of the project with our clients, listen to their every instruction and offer our advice and expertise whenever necessary.
Our bathroom fitters do everything from demolition of the existing bathroom, new plumbing, electrics, under floor heating, to plastering your walls and ceiling, to tilling and final installation.
Painting & Decorating
Our experienced interior designers will take care of any property redecoration by also following every instruction the client gives and also offering their help and advising from their own experience. We don’t see any job as being too big or too small as we cover a full range of property decoration and have learnt and put in practice al the skills we acquire from past projects.
